Description
This course will be focused on electrical safety for municipal workers and subcontractors. It will provide a review of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Subpart S – Electrical; sections 1910.331-1910.399 (a.k.a., OSHA) and NFPA 70E requirements through the application of the IREMA Model Policy forms to real world examples. These examples will include both de-energized maintenance and energized troubleshooting of traffic signals, street lighting systems, and pumping stations (potable water, storm & wastewater). The objective of the course is to educate the attendee on how to prepare safe work procedures for their staff which are both practical and in compliance with code requirements.
