Police Fall Forum102219

Description
The passage of the Cannabis Regulation and  Taxation Act legalizing recreational marijuana brings new issues and challenges to Illinois law  enforcement. There is no handbook to follow for enforcing the laws and no way of knowing what  actual effect legalized marijuana will have on crime, public safety, law enforcement and prosecution of crimes. Legalized marijuana also brings new  challenges in the workplace, especially in safety sensitive jobs. The Police Chiefs Steering  Committee’s Fall Forum will focus on these issues from a law enforcement and employment perspective.
